When Equity Concepts, Inc. was incorporated in 1989, the company had 3 employees and brokered loans in only one state. Today, ECI is an organization of over 100 employees, with corporate offices in Cranston, RI and regional offices in New Town Square, PA, and Portland, OR. We are now a licensed broker/lender in 16 states, with further expansion planned throughout 2007. With over one thousand mortgage brokers licensed by the state of Rhode Island, ECI is one of only a handful of brokers that have been in operation for almost 20 years. In January 2006, the Alternative Lending Division was formed to assist borrowers who "fall through the cracks" with other lenders, or who are in situations that require a mortgage professional with greater understanding of their individual circumstances.
The goal of the Alternative Lending Division is to establish mutually beneficial relationships with professionals in the legal and financial industries in order to provide clients with unprecedented guidance and financial options during tough financial times. The division is currently broken up into three areas: WhyFile.net, JustDischarged.com, and DivorceLoan.com.
DivorceLoan.com works directly with divorce attorneys to ensure that both spouses come out of the proceedings with their financial lives separated and their credit intact.
